Such a concise and informative statement.
Should I believe it? Perhaps this door does indeed open. This could all be some elaborate guise, right? I would love to go behind the Chipotle one day, only to see this door standing ajar. Wide open, flowing in the breeze, mocking the words emblazoned on its outer side.
The words have been floating around in my head all day. Who could paint such a hopeless phrase? This door does not open. This door...does not open. This door...
If only life were filled with these types of warnings. All those great jobs that you'll never get...the women that won't call you back...they would all be marked in big red letters: THIS DOOR DOES NOT OPEN.
Why make a door that doesn't open anyway?
I'd like to think that something important lies behind that door. What if all those treasures that people have been hunting for beneath pyramids and under the ocean are actually sealed away in a secret room behind a burrito shop in Colorado? Perhaps one could find the Holy Grail or the meaning of life behind this door.
Or maybe it's not a door to a room at all. If one were to find a way to open the door and pass through it, they might find themselves in another world altogether!
But that's fucking silly...It's just a door.
Life is filled with doors.
